As I reflect on my first 6 months in South Africa, I am absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement for what’s to come. Each year, I look forward to the New Years season and the energy that surrounds it- reflecting on the year that’s passed and anticipating the year ahead. This year has been my very favorite New Years of all! I am so grateful for the prayers that have followed me here and that surround this community, and I hope that you all are as excited about what this new year will bring as I am.
Part of settling back into life in South Africa has been distributing the many donations that I brought back with me, thanks to YOUR generosity. I can say with certainty that they will be put to good use! A special thanks to Judy and Cliff from Montana for collecting and sending the dozens of pairs of glasses- the crafters have each received a pair, and many of them who would complain of headaches have said that the glasses have helped.
I’ve also distributed many of the crafting supplies, or else am storing them at the (newly renovated!) training center for future use.
The Hopewell Sewing Team’s aprons, oven mitts, and other assorted goodies will also be well-loved- the Made by Mosaic kitchen will be opening very soon!
Smile Solutions in West Chester also generously donated over 100 toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste, which will be distributed in the township. Many thanks for these much-needed supplies!
Stayed tuned for more updates- many projects in the pipeline right now!
Thank you for the thoughts and prayers,
Jordan
